The Everything Test There are many different types of tests on the internet today. Personality tests, purity tests, stereotype tests, political tests. But now, there is one test to rule them all. Traditionally, online tests would ask certain questions about your musical tastes or clothing for a stereotype, your experiences for a purity test, or deep questions for a personality test. We're turning that upside down - all the questions affect all the results, and we've got some innovative results too! Enjoy :-) | Personality | You are more logical than emotional, more concerned about self than concerned about others, more atheist than religious, more dependent than loner, more lazy than workaholic, more traditional than rebel, more engineering mind than artistic mind, more cynical than idealist, more leader than follower, and more extroverted than introverted.

Meh
I am a nerd. How do I know this? I re-formatted the code because I found a bug in it. | You scored as agnosticism. You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof). Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

Bored now.
I came to work today simply because my car was booked in for a service, I just called them and it will be ready at about 5pm. Oh joy. Plus I found how to do this: ( Funky link )So anyway, I am now sitting at work with my mind in holiday mode surfing the web and generally not doing much. On the up side today I "found" myself a Main distribution Frame (MDF). For the non telecoms people out there it is where all the telephones for a building terminate. They are mainly used in business buildings and not residential homes. That said you can have them installed in a home but in Australia the phone carrier is only going to look after faults that occur up until that point after which it is your problem and you have to pay to get it fixed. So why am I excited about finding one? I'm glad you asked. With my house now wired with two cat6 cables to each room, it means that I can terminate the phone lines to the MDF, and then connect the phone lines to my patch panel. From there I will be able to put the phone lines anywhere in the house that I want, with as many extensions as I want. Added to this if we then add in the ADSL filters in line it then makes everything nice and neat in the cupboard. I must admit that the idea for playing with the phone lines is not mine but was thought up with the assistance of a bottle of bourbon. Cheap, nasty "get's you drunk quick" bourbon. Which reminds me, we are out of mixer. After all we finished the bottle last night and there is another one pleading to be opened. :-) Oh and for the record there is two of us drinking, so I am not referring to myself with the royal "we". So on that note, I shall port this entry to my journal and let everyone else read it. | | 9:07 am |

Seaman and the Pirate
An able-bodied seaman meets a pirate in a bar, and they take turns recounting their adventures at sea. Noting the pirate's peg-leg, hook, and eye patch the seaman asks, "So, how did you end up with the peg-leg?" The pirate replies, "We was caught in a monster storm off the cape and a giant wave swept me overboard. Just as they were pullin' me out a school of sharks appeared and one of 'em bit me leg off". "Blimey!" said the seaman. "What about the hook"? "Ahhhh...", mused the pirate, "We were boardin' a trader ship, pistols blastin' and swords swingin' this way and that. In the fracas me hand got chopped off." "Zounds!", remarked the seaman. "And how came ye by the eye patch?" "A seagull droppin' fell into me eye", answered the pirate. "You lost your eye to a seagull dropping?", the sailor asked incredulously. "Well..." said the pirate, "..it was me first day with the hook.." Progress much to everyone's delight
Well things have started moving forward, after planning on getting the house wired since September 2005 there are now 12 connections running from their respective locations through to the patch panel and the wall plates are in place and looking pretty. All that is left now is another 6 cables to be run and the patch panel frame to be built, everything terminated on the patch panel and power brought to the panel and it will all be done. After that I will need to buy a $2000 switch so I can connect both of the ADSL connections in the house and she is all good. After that is the small matter of setting up 2 firewall PC's (which I have but need to check the hardware works and install the OS's) and I will be able to not worry about it for a while. After this is the plumbing and gardening. |
